Fantastic Media Ltd was formed in 2004 by Armando Coletta and Michael Hein.
Armando, started out in the music industry as a session drummer, and for over 15 years he played alongside bands like Wet Wet Wet, Altered Images, The Fruits of Passion, H2O and White before deciding to start his own club in 86.
The Cotton Club in Glasgow was the venue were he enjoyed promoting a night that attracted thousands of people from all over the UK. Many household names that included top models, football stars and TV presenters were seen there on a regular weekly basis as they enjoyed the latest top dance dj's and exclusive designer fashion shows that he organised and co choreographed with Valerie Edmond (Nominated Best Actress at the BAFTA Scotland Awards - Crow Road) BBC Scotland.
He was the first club promoter in the UK to introduce the Ibiza and Spanish night club proposition into the UK and he worked closely alongside many other clubs at that time that included Colours and Fresh.
After a brief spell co writing drama for the BBC with Valerie, Armando took a complete change in direction as a result of the introduction of the mobile phone into the UK and joined DX Communications which was the UK’s largest independent mobile phone retailer. He helped DX through a BT Cellnet acquisition which lead them to becoming part of the new BT Cellnet empire alongside other mobile phone retailers that were also acquired like Martin Dawes Telecommunications and the Mobile Phone shop.
After the acquisitions, BT Cellnet merged all their retail interests and subsequently re branded to O2, were Armando went south to head up O2 Retail’s Commercial Operations were he oversaw their Post and Pre-pay customer service teams, their acquisition and retention teams along with their compliance and legal and regulatory departments which included O2 Online.
After teaming up with Michael Hein at O2, they formed Fantastic Media and worked at introducing new mobile phone technology that would not only engage the younger demographic, but bring the music and club world closer to mobile. Shortly after the company formed, they delivered the worlds only Flash based live text and picture to screen messaging service that enabled clubbers and fans to engage with the venue or artist of their choice via live text and picture messaging. It was shortly after, that they introduced one of the first and most successful bluetooth marketing software applications in the UK - BlueBroadcaster.
After an agreed company re structure in mid 2008, Armando became sole director to take Fantastic Media forward to become a market leader in Bluetooth advertising and mobile media provision and the company now enjoy’s working with some of the best UK advertising and media agencies with global drinks brands as well as some of the UK's most forward thinking businesses and government agencies.
Fantastic are now poised to launch the UK’s first and only dedicated central London bluetooth network comprising of over 150 hotspots and are now set to become the largest independent bluetooth marketing provider in the UK.
